The Sysiphians it is the gathering of two musicians: Ras Hassenti and Puppa Rico. They are accompanied on stage by the No Joke Band, one of Frances premier Reggae backing bands.
Working exclusively on original compositions, The Sysiphians have developed a creative and powerful Reggae sound by leaning on a varied directory, influenced by the musical styles Ska, Rocksteady, Roots, Steppas and Dub.
The Sysiphians work on their compositions in their studio Bull Rocks Yard with classic analog, acoustic and wind instruments along with digital equipment to produce an authentic sound with a modern edge. The complementarity of their artistic, creative talents along with the retro equipment of the studio allows the group to assert and to shape their style in a independent and original way.
The Sysiphians are currently in the studio working on their debut album due out in the Autumn 2010.
This release is also available on 12" Vinyl from mid January
